Another One?!

Another day, another blog.

This one, however, will have a different kind of relevance.

Once a week, I will be posting a simplified opera synopsis, including some links to what will be IMO the best or most accurate performances/videos/recordings of some of the greatest hits of that opera, as well as links for translations of pieces (when I don't post translations myself).

This is, in equal parts, a research project for me to keep me invested and going in my field, as well as my own contribution to make opera just that much more accessible. 

I will be starting with the most frequently performed operas, and going to the more obscure as things progress.

Keep in mind that this will predominantly be my own personal take, and as part of the effort to make things more accessible, I will attempt to keep things relaxed. I will maintain accuracy to the story, but I'ma tell it how it is. My major goal is to give y'all a resource to help you actually understand these things, not just give you fancy text to copy and paste for your projects.
